Protecting mobile gaming consoles is now child’s play
Mobile gaming consoles are expensive and complex pieces of technology, however, they all suffer from one fundamental problem, the screen is made of glass making them susceptible to costly damage. Until now, protecting these fragile items was a mechanical process requiring the user to take extra care. However, suppliers of these devices, as well as gaming stores can now offer their customers the same type of screen protector as can be found on mobile phones and tablets.
Local cutting systems specialist AM.CO.ZA has introduced a new protective film cutting system, the V-6 Film/180 film cutter, a product designed specifically for the custom cutting of protective and privacy screen films for a range of uses including screens on these mobile gaming consoles. The cutter is able to handle cutting of shapes up to 120 x 185mm.
Ensuring that the film is cut to the correct size and design for the device is achieved with the V-6 Film Library which includes specifications for the glass and screens of most common brands and models appliances. The V-6 Film Library is a web-based collection of templates allowing quick and accurate cutting of the required shape. The library is regularly enhanced as new models and designs are launched. Users simply look up the specific design for the required model from the library, load the sheet of film in the cutter and start. A new protector can be cut in minutes to the exact specifications of the device. Where a model is not available in the library, the user can create their own design to fit any flat screen up to the maximum size.
This can add a completely new revenue stream to your business while at the same time saving your customers expensive and time-consuming repairs or replacement of devices due to screens not being able to be repaired.
